Whether one likes to believe it or not, the fact remains that Agriculture is the backbone of India’s economy. However, the country as a whole also needs to work towards bringing an upgradation and introducing technological advancement in the realm of agriculture. Ankita Overseas, founded by an astute entrepreneur and a philanthropist- Dr. Anil Kumar, has tremendously helped in revamping the Indian agriculture ecosystem by empowering exporters and buying agents dealing in various range of products like: Tobacco products, Home furnishing products, Handicraft products, Garments, Paper bags, Cattle and animal feeds, Health and Beauty Products, Foods and Spices, and Ayurvedic Products. Dr. Anil Kumar, through his initiatives and approach in different sectors, has made a place for himself.


Dr. Anil Kumar, who started his journey with a mere investment of Rs 20 has turned his business into a multinational company, all through his sheer hard work and his marketing skills. Today, Ankita Group of companies has positioned itself as one of the pioneer companies in the realm of international trading and manufacturing of various products.


Currently, the company is exporting their products to more than fifteen countries spread over various continents.


Alongside, proving his entrepreneurial skills, Dr. Anil Kumar is also a philanthropist at heart.  It won’t be wrong to say that Dr. Anil Kumar, who is the CEO of Ankita Group of Companies, is a complete allrounder. From being an entrepreneur to being a philanthropist, from being a businessman to being a social welfare, the man has donned several hats throughout his life. He has been widely appreciated and recognised for his charitable work that he undertakes through his NGO- Maheshwari Laxmi Memorial Foundation. His NGO focuses on empowering young girls through providing them education and making them financially dependent. Not only this, if one were to talk about his humanitarian works, the list is very wrong. The social worker also owns and runs a hospital which is dedicated towards helping underprivileged, disbaled and elderly people.

Being a businessman and understanding his responsibilities towards the upliftment of the society, he is always seen coming forward for the underprivileged and marginalised sections of the society. He has also financially supported around 150+ families during the floods that came in Bihar. Not only this, his sympathy and empathy towards the society could be gauzed by the fact that during the entire Covid-19 phase, he was seen on the ground 24*7, helping people to the best of their capacity. From arranging oxygen cylinders to making life-saving drugs available for the needy, Dr. Anil Kumar emerged as a boon for the people, particularly for the people of the weaker section of the society.

Talking about his journey and his motivation towards upliftment of the society, Dr. Anil Kumar, the CEO of Ankita Group of Companies stated, “Well, the journey has been fantastic despite all the ups and downs. I believe it is everyone’s moral responsibility to contribute towards the upliftment and welfare of the society, particularly for the people who are in influential positions. These little efforts go a long way in fulfilling our vision of seeing India as a developed nation.”

Dr. Anil Kumar, for his commendable social works has been a recipient of several awards and honours. To name a few, he has  been felicitated with ‘Rashtriya Udyog Ratna Award’ by the National Education and Human Resource Development Organization (NEHRDO). The award was given to him for his role in elevating the farmers in the field of agriculture. Moreover, recently, he was also awarded with the prestigious International Service Pride Awards 2022. The virtuoso received the award from none other than Parshottam Rupala, the Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India. With so much achievement to his name, Dr. Anil Kumar is truly an inspiration for generations to come.
