Even as Ayushmann Khurrana's character, a Bollywood superstar gets entangled in a dramatic real-life incident that pushes him to run for his life, the energetic and haunting voice of the singer, Vivek Hariharan crooning 'Ghere', in the movie, An Action Hero, plays the perfect backdrop to lift the tension of this scene. Vivek Hariharan is the newest voice in Bollywood that everyone is falling in love with and unsurprisingly so!

The industry and fans are abuzz this holiday season with Vivek's Tamil Rap, in the song, 'Current Laga Re' from the upcoming Ranveer Singh starrer, Cirkus. If versatility had a face, Vivek would currently be its poster child. Dabbling into numerous musical genres and emotional styles, Vivek has sung the soulful, 'Dum Dum' in Phillauri; the wedding song, 'Pipni' from Netflix's Mismatched 2; the inspirational, 'Khamakha' in Kaun Pravin Tambe; the romantic waltz, 'Keh Do Ke' from Ritesh-Tamannah starrer Plan A Plan B; 'Mor Mor' from Goodluck Jerry which is a Punjabi Dance song; and 'Pasa Phenk, a folk-infused dance song from TVF's hit web-series, Panchayat.

“I enjoy all kinds of music. Growing up in a Tamil family, classical music was instilled very early. Later, I took to film music and international pop too. I have sung folk, semi-classical, rock, dance, soul, hip-hop, and even funk. I am blessed to have worked with extremely talented music composers who are among the best in the industry. They trust in me and I am happy that I am able to deliver numerous styles and explore various tones within my voice texture which lends to a wide range”, said Vivek Hariharan.

With around a million monthly listeners on Spotify, Vivek sang the iconic and motivational, 'Shaabaash' from the movie, Jaadugar, which was the official anthem of CommonWealth Games 2022. Vivek was nominated for the prestigious Mirchi Music Awards 2020 in the 'Male Vocalist of the Year' category for his sensational delivery of 'Challa' in Uri-The Surgical Strike. Having sung 500+ TVC jingles, Vivek sings fluently in distinct languages. Vivek sang 'Kasiyoli', a folk-based composition, produced with a progressive metal sensibility mixed with electronic elements for Salim-Sulaiman's renowned independent music project, 'Bhoomi'. Released in 2021, 'Kasiyoli', brags of an enormous following within the prog-rock community and folk music lovers leading to millions of views and listens across music streaming platforms.

Speaking about his experience of working with Vivek Hariharan in Bhoomi 2021, composer Salim Merchant, said, “Vivek is a wonderful artist. His versatility and understanding of various genres of music and even languages with experience in ads and film music have made him a solid and thoughtful artist. He has a powerful voice and his range is amazing. I had a great experience working with him in Bhoomi and I look forward to working with him more and more."
