Thane paddler Siddhesh wins men’s singles title

Fifth seed Siddhesh Pande of Thane District cruised to a 12-10, 11-5, 9-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-6 win over fourth seed Chinmay Somiya of The Suburban Table Tennis Association (TSTTA) to clinch men's singles title of the Dr Ramesh Prabhoo Memorial 82nd Maharashtra State Table Tennis Championship on Thursday. In the semis, Siddhesh beat top seed Sanil Shetty of TSTTA 11-8, 8-11, 15-13, 12-10, 10-12, 4-11, 11-4.
