Race goers can get lucky by just being at the Mahalaxmi racecourse on Sunday for the inaugural Poonawalla Stud Farms Auction Sale Stakes.
Thanks to some out-of-the-box thinking by Zavaray Poonawalla, the former chairman of the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC), race goers will be required to write their name and phone number on a form that will be handed to them at the members' enclosure of the Mahalaxmi racecourse.
Then, a total of Rs 4 lakh will be awarded to race goers via a lucky draw. The top prize is Rs 2 lakh followed by Rs 1 lakh, Rs 50,000, Rs 35,000 and Rs 15,000. Similarly, there will be prizes like a motorbike, a 43 inch smart TV and an android smart phone.
