With strong contributions from openers Priyansh and Prabhsimran, followed by a fiery finish from Marcus Stoinis, Punjab's batting lineup fired on all cylinders at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium

After the openers departed, skipper Shreyas Iyer took control of the innings. Mixing elegance with brute force, Iyer struck six boundaries and an equal number of towering sixes. He played some audacious strokes on both sides of the wicket, dismantling the SRH bowling attack during the middle overs. His authoritative knock came to an end in the 15th over, falling to Harshal Patel, who was the pick of the Sunrisers’ bowlers.

After Iyer's batting blitz, Nehal Wadhera added 27 to the tally, providing crucial support during the middle phase, before Marcus Stoinis unleashed a whirlwind 34* in the final overs. His onslaught ensured Punjab crossed the 240-run mark, leaving the hosts with a daunting target of 246

Making his debut for SRH, Eshan Malinga, nephew of Sri Lankan great Lasith Malinga, chipped in with two wickets, albeit expensively, finishing with figures of 2/45. With the explosive total on the board, PBKS have given themselves a strong chance to return to winning ways. For SRH, the chase will require a monumental effort and a near-perfect batting display to overcome Punjab's batting blitz
