After leading India to their second ICC title in nine months, skipper Rohit landed back in Mumbai on Monday night. The squad members have got a week off before they join their respective IPL teams ahead of the tournament beginning March 22.

Head coach Gautam Gambhir and pacer Harshit Rana landed in Delhi on Monday night. With players preferring to rest ahead of the two-month-long IPL, the BCCI did not plan a felicitation for the team like it did when the squad returned from Barbados following the win in the T20 World Cup.

Shreyas Iyer, who played a big role in the middle order, will captain Punjab Kings and will join the team on March 16. The 30-year-old middle-order batter was spotted at Mumbai airport on Monday evening.

KL Rahul returned to Mumbai to a grand reception as enthusiastic fans thronged the airport to welcome the star wicketkeeper-batter. Eager supporters gathered in large numbers, hoping to catch a glimpse of their cricketing hero, with many requesting selfies and autographs. True to his humble nature, Rahul graciously acknowledged his fans, waving at them and obliging their requests for photos.

India spinner Varun Chakravarthy on Monday took to Instagram to share his celebratory moments post India's Champions Trophy win, where he was seen relaxing in a hotel, sipping coffee while proudly holding the prestigious trophy. Adding a playful touch to his post, he captioned it: 'A lot of distance was travelled to get a taste of this Cup'. While many fans enjoyed the lighthearted celebration, some speculated that Chakravarthy’s caption carried a subtle jibe at Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed, who earlier had posted a photo of himself dressed in green and white, holding a cup of tea, with the caption 'Last cup of fantastic evening tea', a remark widely interpreted as a reference to the 2019 incident involving Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

Chakravarthy received a heroic welcome at Chennai airport on Tuesday. Having been a late addition to the squad, he finished as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with nine wickets in just three matches. Chakravarthy replaced Harshit Rana in the Group A match against New Zealand and made an immediate impact with a five-wicket haul. As the fourth spinner alongside Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja, he retained his spot in the knockout stages.

Chakravarthy was spotted at Chennai airport with teammate Ravindra Jadeja on Tuesday, who would join IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings as the side play their first match of the season on March 23.
