India's prolific batsman Virat Kohli enjoys the top spot on the list. Featuring 113 tests for India, Kohli has amassed 8,848 runs. In his captaincy tenure from 2014-2022, he scored 20 centuries for India in the traditional format of the game
Sunil Gavaskar
Legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar represented India in 125 tests and scored 10,122 runs. He captained the side from 1976 to 1985 and registered 11 centuries to his name in the traditional format of the game
Mohammad Azharudddin
Former India skipper Mohammad Azharuddin led the side from 1990 to 1999. In his tenure, he smashed nine centuries in test cricket. He played 99 test matches and scored 6,215 runs

India's former wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni captained the team from the year 2008 to 2014. Representing the country in 90 test matches, he scored 4,876 runs. He also smashed five centuries in tests during his captaincy period. Sourav Ganguly led the Indian team from 2000 to 2005 in which he registered 5 test tons. He also has 7,212 runs in 113 tests. Legendary Indian captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi smashed five test centuries in his captaincy tenure. He led the side 1962 to 1965.
