In India's second innings, opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 214 runs in 236 deliveries including 14 fours and 12 sixes/ With this, he smashed his second double-hundred in tests
Yashasvi is now the only Indian batsman to convert his first three centuries into 150-plus scores. On July 12 2023, he scored 171 runs against West Indies, his second and third 150+ scores came against England. He accumulated 209 runs on February 2, 2024, and again played an unbeaten knock of 214 runs on February 19, 2024
With his double-century, he became the third Indian batsman after Vinoo Mankad and Virat Kohli to score multiple 200s in a test series. Yashasvi Jaiswal is still left with two tests to be played against England
He also joined the elite list of Indian cricketers such as Virat Kohli and Vinod Kambli. Jaiswal is the third Indian batsman to score consecutive double-centuries in tests
The Mumbai-led during his 214-run knock smashed 12 sixes. With this, he registered his name as the joint most sixes in a test innings. Pakistan's Wasim Akram tops the list
