Star Indian opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his consecutive double-century in the second and third test match. Despite struggling with a back injury, the Mymbau-lad came in to bat on Day 4 and completed his double ton. During his knock, he scored an unbeaten 214 runs off 236 deliveries including 14 fours and 12 sixes. With this, he has now equalled the record for the most sixes in a test innings which is 12 with Pakistan's Wasim Akram
Ravichandran Ashwin
Team India's veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin attained the milestone of completing 500 test wickets during the third test match against England. After dismissing Tom Hartley, he also became the first player to register 250 wickets against left-handed batsmen in tests
Ravindra Jadeja
India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored 112 runs in the first innings and also bagged two wickets. The spinner again showcased his skills with the ball in the second innings. He registered five wickets by conceding 41 runs. During the match, Jadeja also completed 250 test wickets on home soil
Sarfaraz Khan
Mumbai's Sarfaraz Khan who finally debuted for India after a long wait made the most of his opportunity. Batting at number six in the first innings, the prolific batsman scored 62 runs and later smashed an unbeaten 68 runs in India's second essay. The debutant left no opportunity to entertain the home crow and displayed his extra-ordinary strokes for the side
