West Indies and CSK's all-star cricketer Dwayne Bravo who is in the thick of things at the IPL 2020 in UAE, celebrated his birthday on October 7. is one of the most vibrant and lively personalities on and off the field. Dwayne Bravo is a Trinidadian cricketer, who plays all formats of the game and a former captain of West Indies in all formats. He is also an integral member of Chennai Super Kings. A genuine all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium-fast pace. 

Apart from being one of the best all-rounders ever to have played for West Indies, Dwayne Bravo has also made a mark in the music industry with his hit song Champion. The song became popular across the globe.

Dwayne Bravo announced his retirement from Test cricket in January 2015.

In December 2019, Dwayne Bravo came out of retirement in order to prepare for the T20 World Cup in 2020.

Dwayne Bravo has also been part of controversies, During a Test series against South Africa in 2005, Bravo scored his maiden century before getting out to Mark Boucher in the fourth Test in Antigua, but that was overshadowed when he accused South African Graeme Smith of directing a racist comment at him. At the subsequent hearing no evidence could be found and charges were dropped against Smith, who immediately demanded an apology from Bravo. Bravo, backed by the West Indies Cricket Board, refused to do so and received a hail of criticism from an indignant South African press while finding support at home as a human rights campaigner.

In another controversy in 2014, during a tour of India, Dwayne Bravo was spokesman for the players during a players strike which resulted in the tour being cancelled half way. He was later omitted from the West Indies World Cup squad for the 2015 World Cup.
