In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 first Test match in Nagpur, opening the innings, KL Rahul departed on just 20 runs after facing 71 balls in the first essay. His knock included 1 four. With a strike rate of 28.17, Rahul was dismissed in Tom Murphy's over

In the same match in Nagpur, coming down at number five position, Virat Kohli was able to score just 12 runs off 26 deliveries. With 2 fours, Kohli's innings ended with a strike rate of 46.15

With Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul not in the side, Virat Kohli was the only player among these three to feature in the first Test match of 2020 BGT in Adelaide. In the first innings, Kohli (Team India's then-captain) scored 74 runs off 180 deliveries. Having smashed 8 fours, Kohli's innings ended with a strike rate of 41.11. In the second innings, the skipper returned to the pavilion on just four runs after facing eight balls which included 1 four

In the 2018-19 tour of Australia, all three (KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant) featured in the first Test match in Adelaide. Having won the toss, India opted to bat first. Opening the innings, Kl Rahul faced eight balls and was shown the pavilion way after scoring just two runs

Virat Kohli, too was not able to accumulate many runs. Playing 16 balls, Kohli scored three runs with a strike rate of 18.75

Facing 38 balls, Rishabh Pant smashed 25 runs which was laced with 2 fours and 1 six. He played with a strike rate of 65.78

In the second essay of the first match in 2018-19 BGT, KL Rahul registered a score of 44 runs. His innings ended with 67 deliveries which saw him hit 3 fours and 1 six with a strike rate of 65.67

Struggling to score runs in the first half, Virat Kohli smashed 3 fours in the second innings. In his 104-ball long knock, the stalwart scored 34 runs

Rishabh Pant faced 16 balls in which he smashed 4 fours and 1 six. The left-hander's innings came to an end with a score of 28 runs
