Vengsarkar Cricket Academy clinched the U-16 Dream 11 Cup at the Oval Maidan recently by beating Cricket Mantra Academy through an eight-wicket margin.
Batting first, Cricket Mantra posted 183-5 in the allotted 35 overs with Shrihann Haridass (22), Samridh Bhat 20, Aayudh Mohanty (45) and Vansh Chumble (50) being the principal scorers. Alekh Singh claimed 2-41.

Later, Vengsarkar CA openers Yash Jagtap (26) and Ashmith Jha (37) put on 62 before Aayush Shinde (51 not out) and Harsh Gaikar (60 not out) batted superbly in an unbeaten 107-run partnership in just 78 balls to seal the victory. Harsh hit 11 fours in his 32-ball innings while Aayush smashed five fours in 55 balls.

Harsh was adjudged player of the final. Vengsarkar and Dr Shailesh Shrikhande, Director of Tata Memorial Hospital, gave away the prizes.
