In a rain-affected season, only three games of Division âA' and âB' were played and it is learnt, with the non-completion of the minimum five matches, a decision has been taken to suspend further matches. In another move, the Apex Council decided to provide smart cards to every club representative as well as former international cricketers.
It has also been decided to start the election process for the MCA's vice-president's post immediately. There was no election held for the this post in the recent elections as both candidates - Amol Kale [who is now MCA president] and Navin Shetty - withdrew their nomination forms.
