Tristan Stubbs' unbeaten 57-run knock helped Delhi Capitals to post a target of 209 runs in the IPL 2024 match against Lucknow Super Giants. His knock came in 25 balls and was laced with 3 fours and 4 sixes. On the other hand, star all-rounder Axar Patel stayed unbeaten on 14 runs. In his knock of 10 balls, he smashed 2 fours. The hosts lost four wickets while posting 209 on board against Lucknow.

Opening batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk who has been a consistent performer for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 departed without scoring a run. On the other hand, Abhishek Porel smashed wonderful 58 runs off 33 deliveries including 5 fours and 4 sixes. Despite losing an early wicket, Shai Hope played a helpful knock for DC as he scored 38 runs in 27 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Rishabh Pant who did not feature in the IPL 2024 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, entertained the home crowd with his power-filled boundaries. His 33-run knock came in 23 balls which was laced with 5 fours. Facing 10 balls, Axat scored an unbeaten 14 runs including 2 fours. Late heroics off 57 runs from Stubbs helped DC reach a commendable score.
Having won the toss, Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul opted to bowl first in the IPL 2024 match against Delhi Capitals. Pacer Naveen Ul Haq registered two wickets and conceded 51 runs in his four overs. Mohsin Khan who missed out on the previous IPL 2024 match leaked 29 runs in his spell without claiming any wickets. Spinner Ravi Bishnoi and Arshad Khan registered one wicket each to their names. Arshad was the most expensive bowler for LSG in the IPL 2024 match against DC. Along with Mohsin, Yudhvir Singh, Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda went wicketless in the match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
