Union Education Minister and BJP leader Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The 61-year-old politician took to social media to announce that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
The BJP leader said that he is under medication and undergoing treatment as per the advice of his doctors. "Request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant, and get themselves tested," Nishank tweeted.

A few days ago, sports minister Kiren Rijiju had tested positive for COVID-19. "After getting repeated test for Covid-19, today my report has come out positive," Mr Rijiju wrote on his Twitter handle. He also said that he is feeling "fit and fine".
Besides Rijiju, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Former PM Manmohan Singh, Union Minister Jitendra Singh also tested positive this week.
Last week, Jana Sena Party president and actor Pawan Kalyan, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Shiromani Akali Dal MP and former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala have all tested positive for COVID-19.
