The Committee on External Affairs highlighted that Pakistan’s ISI is providing a haven to terrorist outfits. ISI is Pakistan’s agency responsible for providing intelligence inputs to the country’s military. The report highlighted that terrorism in India is sponsored from across the border. The Committee on External Affairs presented their 28th report on ‘Countering Global Terrorism at Regional and International Levels’. The report emphasised an action plan and mechanism to root out terrorist networks in the neighbouring countries. For a long time, Pakistan has been accused of being a ‘terror hub’ and providing shelter to terror groups. India has strained ties with Pakistan because of its continuous infiltration attempts in Jammu & Kashmir. Post abrogation of Article 370, India-Pakistan relations have nosedived.
