NCP Protests On Shifting Of Vedanta Foxconn Project From Maharashtra To Gujarat

The Vedanta-Foxconn joint venture chose Gujarat to build its display fabrication and semiconductor facilities. As a result of the shifting of the project from Maharashtra, the Nationalist Congress Party protested on September 14. NCP MP Supriya Sule led the protest. Speaking to ANI, she said, It’s a huge disappointment, over 3 lakh students are going to be deprived of jobs. All political parties of Maharashtra should come together and fight this with the central government. CM Eknath Shinde was an integral part of the earlier government, what was he doing then, why didn’t he say anything? He is the current CM for over 2 months now, if he wants to lead, he needs to take responsibility and be accountable.”
