On October 26, the Israeli Defense Forces launched a retaliatory strike called "Operation Iran" in Tehran. This attack came in response to an earlier missile barrage from Iran on October 1, which involved nearly 200 missiles aimed at Israel. The Israeli military claimed it had the right to respond after that attack, resulting in the deaths of four people and the destruction of several military bases in Tehran. Iranian officials expressed anger and promised a "proportional reaction" to Israel`s actions. U.S. Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin warned Iran not to retaliate against Israel. The Israeli strikes focused on Iran`s air defenses and military capabilities, especially after Israel had previously killed key leaders of Hezbollah in Lebanon. The situation has created heightened tensions in the Middle East, with many watching closely for further developments.
