Following the blast, a significant increase in security measures has been observed around the Israel Embassy and Jewish establishments in Delhi, with heightened vigilance and surveillance by security personnel and local police.
An abusive letter addressed to the Israeli ambassador, found near the blast site, is undergoing forensic examination to detect fingerprints and determine its origin.
The letter, written in English and deemed abusive, is suspected to have ties to an organization called 'Sir Allah Resistance,' mentioning terms like Zionists, Palestine, and Gaza, according to police sources.
Security around the Israel Embassy in Delhi has been heightened since the conflict between Israel and Hamas earlier this year, officials confirmed.
Meanwhile, the Israeli NSC has issued a travel advisory for its citizens in India, suspecting the blast near the embassy to potentially be a terror attack, advising caution, especially in New Delhi.
The Israeli NSC, amidst concerns of potential threats, has advised Israelis to reconsider overseas travel and urged caution, especially in public spaces and events serving Westerners/Jews.
The advisory also recommends refraining from publicly disclosing travel details, photographs, or real-time updates on social media platforms.
The Israeli embassy spokesperson, Guy Nir, confirmed the blast near the embassy and highlighted ongoing investigations by the Delhi Police and security teams.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the recent blast near the Israel Embassy, as confirmed by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
A team from the NIA examined the blast site, collaborating with local authorities to assist in the investigation.
The incident is reminicent of the blast that happened in 2021, where vehicles near the embassy were damaged, prompting an investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
