Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule was also absent from the protest. Opposition MP Kirti Azad criticized Congress, stating that as the senior party, it must unite all INDIA alliance members to avoid discord.

Azad suggested that TMC leader Mamata Banerjee may be better suited to lead the opposition. Union Minister Giriraj Singh accused Sonia and Rahul Gandhi of collaborating with billionaire George Soros and supporting anti-national activities.

Singh further alleged that Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the "tukde tukde gang," intensifying the political conflict. On December 6, Rahul Gandhi urged Prime Minister Modi to attend Parliament and not avoid investigations into Adani.

Congress and its INDIA bloc allies have repeatedly called for discussions on Adani’s alleged indictment by US authorities during the Winter Session. The Adani Group has denied allegations made by the US Department of Justice and the US Securities and Exchange Commission, calling them baseless.

The Adani Group reiterated its commitment to governance, transparency, and compliance across all its operations. The Winter Session of Parliament, which began on November 25, has faced frequent disruptions and will continue until December 20.
