CM Yogi highlighted the successful Maha Kumbh 2025 preparations and the spiritual rejuvenation of Kashi under PM Modi’s leadership. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for key infrastructure upgrades, including a road bridge linking Varanasi Ring Road to Sarnath and flyovers at Bhikharipur and Manduadih.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for key infrastructure upgrades, including a road bridge linking Varanasi Ring Road to Sarnath and flyovers at Bhikharipur and Manduadih.
A highway underpass tunnel at NH-31 near Varanasi International Airport was among the major projects unveiled, with a combined worth of over Rs 980 crore. He inaugurated high-capacity power infrastructure, including two 400 KV substations and one 220 KV substation across Jaunpur, Chandauli and Ghazipur.
New substations in Chaukaghat and Ghazipur, and improvements to the Varanasi power distribution system were initiated, amounting to over Rs 775 crore. For police infrastructure, he inaugurated new barracks and transit hostels and laid foundation stones for administrative and residential facilities.
Educational projects included the opening of polytechnic and government colleges, construction of 356 rural libraries, and upgrades to 77 primary schools. Sports facilities saw a boost with plans for a synthetic hockey turf and mini stadiums, along with enhanced infrastructure at Uday Pratap College and Shivpur.

The PM inaugurated redevelopment projects at Samne Ghat and Shastri Ghat, water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission, and several beautification initiatives across the city. He also distributed Ayushman Vay Vandana cards to senior citizens and handed GI certificates for local crafts like tabla, thandai, tiranga barfi, and paintings.
