This visit follows Prime Minister Meloni's previous trip to India in March, where she participated in the eighth edition of the Raisina Dialogue

India and Italy share a deep-rooted history as ancient civilizations and have maintained trade relations spanning over 2000 years. Political ties between the two nations were formally established in 1947

The G20 Summit is set to take place at the newly inaugurated Bharat Mandapam located at Pragati Maidan in the national capital

India assumed the presidency of the G20 on December 1 of the previous year and organized approximately 200 meetings related to the G20 across 60 cities within the country

The Group of Twenty (G20) was established in 1999 with the primary objective of upholding global financial stability by incorporating middle-income countries into discussions.
