More than 200 farmer unions headed to Delhi to press the Centre to accept their 12 demands

Commuters had a harrowing time as they battled traffic jams, with Delhi being turned into a fortress to thwart the entry of farmers. Heavy traffic congestion was seen at Delhi-Gurugram Expressway

In the view of Delhi Chalo march, Chief Justice of India also took note of the traffic issues and said the Supreme Court will accommodate if lawyers face problem reaching the court

The police have intensified security at the Delhi border points with multi-layer barricades, concrete blocks, iron nails and walls of containers

At the Ghazipur border, only two vehicles were able to pass at a time with barricades lined up on half of the key stretch connecting Noida and Delhi

As security measure, section 144 is imposed in Delhi and Haryana authorities have also imposed section 144 at some areas, restricting entry of tractor trolleys, social gatherings etc

As farmers in large numbers marched towards Delhi on Tuesday, the police fired tear gas on the protestors at the Punjab-Haryana Shambhu Border

The police have deployed concrete slabs, iron nails, barricades, barbed wires, and police and paramilitary personnel at Kurukshetra in Haryana in view of the 'Delhi Chalo' march by the farmers

Authorities said that they are ensuring there is no law and order situation and citizens do not face any trouble in commuting in the view of 'Delhi Chalo' protest march
