    Violent Scuffle erupts between Congress & BJP Over Dr Ambedkar

    A scuffle broke out between Congress and BJP counsellors during the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation's general house meeting on December 24. The disagreement was centered around Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillors passed a motion demanding the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. They accused him of making remarks against Ambedkar. In response, BJP councillors criticized Congress, claiming they were trying to downplay Ambedkar’s contributions during Jawaharlal Nehru’s time. The BJP also accused Congress of belittling Ambedkar's legacy. The situation escalated into a heated argument between the two parties during the meeting.
