On his arrival at the venue, Gandhi paid floral tributes to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and visited the memorial of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray and paid his respects
In a rare occasion, Rahul Gandhi is joined by mother Sonia and sister Priyanka Gandhi for the public rally at Shivaji Park, which is said to be start of the election campaign for the INDIA bloc
Other INDIA bloc leaders present at the rally are, VBA leader Prakash Ambedkar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Jharhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, NC leader Farooq Abdullah among others

AAP leader and Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said, "We are all here together because we don't fear going to jail. To win, we have to fight," he said
Bharadwaj added that electoral bonds have exposed the BJP and people should be made aware of it
VBA chief Prakash Ambedkar also spoke at the rally, highlighting his full support to MVA and INDIA bloc at large amid tensions on seat-sharing for Lok Sabha elections
