A rope was tied along the seashore on the beach to prevent visitors from getting near the waves. They were restricted to staying behind the rope barrier

Meanwhile, the police patrolled the beach to ensure that visitors did not cross the rope barrier during the high tide

As per Disaster Management Department of the BMC, the city experienced a high tide of 3.79 m (12.43 ft) at 6.28 p.m. on Sunday

The city will witness 22 days of high tide in the Arabian Sea during the four months of monsoon this year

As per the civic body, the maximum temperature was recorded at 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 25 degrees Celsius on Sunday

Meanwhile, in the southern part of the city, crowds were seen at Marine Drive enjoying the high tide amid light showers today

In the next 48 hours, a cloudy sky with intermittent spells of moderate to heavy rain is likely to continue in the city and suburbs, said the civic body

As per the Indian meteorological department, Mumbai will witness moderate rainfall until July 4. The neighboring districts of Thane and Palghar are predicted to witness heavy to moderate rainfall during the same duration
