The stage is set in Mumbai for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's roadshow in Ghatkopar wherein he will be campaigning for BJP candidate Mihir Kotecha.

Grandeur arrangements have been made for PM Modi's Ghatkopar roadshow and the security has been beefed up ahead of his visit. 

PM Modi's Ghatkopar roadshow will start from Ashok Silk Mill in Ghatkopar West and will be terminated at Paswanath Jain temple in Ghatkopar East. 

Ahead of PM Modi's visit to Ghatkopar, crowd has started gathering at the end point of the roadshow in Ghatkopar east.

The people that have gathered there are also performing garba, and have come with Modi face masks, BJP flags and other merchandise of the political party to showcase their support for the PM. 

Meanwhile, artistes have been preparing for their traditional performances for PM Modi's Ghatkopar roadshow.

Artistes are all set to showcase lezim, bhangra and other different kinds of traditional performances and those participating were seen practising for the same. 

A special vehicle, also being touted as PM Modi's 'rath', has been prepared; the Prime Minister will be travelling in the car.

Ahead of PM Modi's Ghatkopar roadshow, the Mumbai Metro Line 1 officials said that services between Jagruti Nagar and Ghatkopar stations have been suspended starting 6 pm. 

Meanwhile, BEST has also announced diversions of various buses that pass through the areas where PM Modi will be holding a roadshow. 

Given the security concerns, the Mumbai Police has also banned the use of drones, paragliders, balloons, kites, and remote-controlled microlight aircraft in the city.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) issued prohibitory orders under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) from 00:01 hrs on May 15 (Wednesday) to 24:00 hrs on May 17 (Friday). 

Traffic police have also made elaborate arrangements for PM Modi's Mumbai roadshow on Wednesday. Portions of LBS road and Mahul-Ghatkopar road will remain closed from 2 pm to 10 pm; they have provided alternatives for the same.
