The candidates were seen resting on the bridge and footpath near Mumbai University Ground in Marine Drive

Relatives and parents of the candidates were also seen waiting outside the recruitment camp

Some candidates suggested that better facilities for those coming for the recruitment drives were needed

Earlier, the Maharashtra State Police Department had announced 17,471 vacancies through the Maharashtra Police Constable Recruitment 2024 notification

The notification had earlier stated that the recruitment drive aims to fill 17,471 vacancies for various posts including Police Constable, Police Constable Driver, Jail Constable, Armed Police Constable, and Police Constable Bandsman

Maharashtra Police has invited applications for the recruitment of constables, offering a total of 17,471 vacancies

As per the procedure, the candidates  are shortlisted for constable posts in Maharashtra Police through three stages including the Physical Test, Written Exam and Skill Test
