Meanwhile, the Santacruz observatory noted a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast stated that the maximum temperature for the day is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, with a minimum expected to reach approximately 22 degrees Celsius

In addition to the cooler temperatures, Mumbai's skyline is marked by haze, contributing to a decrease in air quality

According to the Central Pollution Control Board's SAMEER app, the city's Air Quality Index (AQI) has slipped into the moderate category, currently registering at 132 as of 10:50 am

IMD's weather update on Monday indicated a "mainly clear sky" for the city and its suburbs over the next 24 hours, providing a slight relief from the haze that has enveloped the region

As per the SAMEER app, the AQI of several areas in the city had slipped into the 'moderate' category with the exception of Borivali, Colaba, Bhandup and Powai which still recorded a 'good' AQI
