A significant fire broke out in the Bharat Industrial Estate, a five-storey building in the Sewri area of Mumbai, on Saturday night.

The fire, which was classified as a 'level-two' (major) blaze, was confined to two shops located on the third floor of the industrial estate.

Fire engines, water tankers, and ambulances were dispatched to the scene promptly after the fire was reported at 10.21 pm.

Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control and fully extinguished it by 1.57 am on Sunday, with no casualties reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, as officials have not yet determined what led to the blaze.

No one was injured or killed in the fire, with authorities confirming that there were no casualties despite the major blaze.

While the fire was confined to two shops, the extent of the damage to these premises is being assessed by officials.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fire and prevent future incidents in the industrial area.
