Maharashtra has been assigned the national helpline number 1945, guaranteeing complaint resolution within 24 hours. The police welfare programme prioritises healthcare and housing for personnel to improve their quality of life.
Pune’s status as an industrial and technological hub necessitates strict traffic regulations and robust law enforcement. Fadnavis stressed the need to reduce police response times in cities like Pune to enhance public safety.
The ‘Tarang’ initiative by Pune City Police allows officers to celebrate festivals with their families, recognising their sacrifices. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order and communal harmony.
Citizens were urged to cooperate with the police in maintaining civic order and ensuring a safer society. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar outlined the force’s achievements, including successful election security and crime control.
The government continues to invest in police infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency. CM Fadnavis flagged off two-wheeler and four-wheeler police vehicles under the ‘Cop-24’ initiative.

Distinguished police personnel and their families were felicitated for their contributions to public safety. A documentary showcasing the Pune City Police Commissionerate’s achievements was screened during the event.
