Holi celebration in Mahim

Even amid Coronavirus, Mumbaikars left no stone unturned in this year's Holi celebrations. Here's a glimpse of the festivities at Shivaji Park

Holi Dahan was celebrated on March 9 where people burned effigies which symbolises the victory of good over evil!

Students of Kamal Mehta Dadar School for the Blind steered clear from colours and water as a precaution from coronavirus and celebrated Holi with dance and music!

To get into the festival mood, residents of Mahim painted their faces with quirky designs and celebrated the festival with fun games! Other than smearing gulaal on each other, revellers also threw water balloons and played pranks on each other while playing with water.

However, people all over the city avoided mass gatherings but celebrated in groups and made merry among their loved ones and smeared gulaal on each other.

Holi, which is celebrated to welcome the spring season, was also taken to the seashore at Worli by residents.

Amid the festive fervour, Mumbai police patrolled at different spots in the city.

The cops also did a crackdown on those driving under the influence of alcohol.
