As Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the results for HSC, on Tuesday, Tanisha Sagar Boramanikar from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar division became the only student in the state to achieve 100 per cent marks. Tanisha has represented India in chess and participated in national and state-level competitions. Sharad Gosavi, State Board Chairman, announced the results on Tuesday, confirming Tanisha was the only student to secure 100 per cent marks.

Tanisha, a student at Deogiri College in the New Usmanpura area of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar scored 100 marks each in OCM, Pali, and Economics. Tanisha told mid-day, "I did not study throughout the year and never expected to score 100 per cent. I did expect somewhere above 95 per cent. Above all, the board informed me that I am the only student across the state to score 100 per cent. Whatever I am, and the person I have grown into, I would give all credit to chess." Renuka, Tanisha's mother, said, "Despite limited study time, Tanisha performed exceptionally well. She is currently preparing for the CA exams."
