A day after the billboard disaster, relatives of victims at Rajawadi Hospital were still in a state of shock and disbelief narrating the horror stories of how an hour's wind and rainfall turned their life on its head. "My brother-in-law, Dilip, a resident of Andheri, used to work on optic fibres Yesterday while on his way to Bhandup after finishing work at BARC, he was at the petrol pump when the incident occurred. He was crushed to death. He has two daughters and a son and was the only earning member of his family, originally from Darbhanga district of Bihar. There were two more people along with him during the incident but they survived," his brother Rahul Paswan told mid-day.

Sachin Yadav, originally from Nandi village in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, working at the petrol station, also died in the incident. Sachin's uncle Arvind Yadav, said Sachin had become a father just four months ago. "Sachin was keen to attend a religious event of his newborn in the village. We had been discussing it and now he is no more. Everyone responsible for this should be punished," Yadav said. Rehmat Khan, a 30-year-old resident of Bhiwandi, now under treatment in Rajawadi Hospital was also injured. Rehmat was returning to his in-law's house in Dadar when he stopped at the petrol pump to fuel his bike.

"The doctor told us he was fine and stable. He is living with his wife and two kids. Working as a scrap dealer. He is the only earning person in his family. We are not sure when he will get discharged," said Mohamad Ashraf, brother of Rehmat. "We have lost 13 people and currently hold 36 injured here at Rajawadi. One of them is in ICU but stable," Dr Bharati Rajulwala, Chief Medical Officer of Rajawadi Hospital told mid-day.
