Bollywood actor Rimi Sen filed a police complaint against an acquaintance for cheating her of Rs 4.40 crore. After a written complaint was filed at the Khar police station a few days ago, the police filed an FIR on March 29.
In her written complaint, Sen mentioned that she met the accused, Ronak Jatin, goregon resident at a gym in Andheri three years ago, and the two became friends over months.
Sen informed the police that Jatin claimed to be a businessman and had opened a new company of LED lights. He then offered Sen to invest in the company for a return of 40 per cent. After she decided to invest the money, they drafted an agreement.
When the deadline of the investment ended, Sen asked for her profit, but Jatin started ignoring her calls. She then learnt that Jatin did not start any such business. After realising that she had been cheated, Sen filed a police complaint.
