Abhijeet Sawant- Indian Idol 1

Who does not remember the very first season of the singing reality show as fans were seated in front of their TVs and voting for their favourite contestants? Abhijeet Sawant and Amit Sana were the top two contestants. They had a fierce battle of talent. Abhijeet had the edge and became the first Indian idol winner. He won a prize of Rs 50 lakh 

Sandeep Acharya- Indian Idol 2

He won a prize money of Rs 1 crore after winning the season 2 in 2005-06. Unfortunately, he passed away in the year 2013 after suffering from Jaundice

Prashant Tamang- Indian Idol 3

He won the title in 2007  and took home prize money of Rs 1 crore. Amit Pual was the runner-up.

Sourabhee Debbaarma- Indian Idol 4

She became the first female contestant to win the title of Indian Idol 4. She holds the Guinness Book of World Record for singing a song hanging upside down. She took the challenge to break the existing record of New Zealand's Rebecca Wright, who sang upside down for 3 Min 53 seconds. She sang for 4 minutes and 30 seconds. She won Rs 1 crore as winner of the season 

Sreerama Chandra- Indian Idol 5

Indian Idol 5 was among the most inetresting season that also saw contestants like Meiyang Chang and Bhoomi Trivedi. Sreeram is today an actor, host and reality show contestant having participated in Bigg Boss and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Vipul Mehta- Indian Idol 6

Hailing from Amritsar, he won the sixth season in 2012 and won Rs 50 lakh. Amit Kumar and Devendra Pal Singh were the runner-ups

Anjana Padmanabhan- Indian Idol Junior 1 

Indian Idol 7 was also the first season for junior contestants. A young Anjana Padmanabhan won the trophy for the first season

Ananya Nanda - Indian Idol Junior 2 

The eighth season of the singing show was also the second season of the the junior singing show. Ananya won the trophy

LV Revanth- Indian Idol 9

He bagged the title for Indian Idol 9. He won a prize money of Rs 25 lakh and is today one of the most talented singers of Telugu film industry. He also won Bigg Boss 6 Telugu

Salman Ali - Indian Idol 10 

He won a prize money of Rs 25 lakh. Ankush Bhardwaj was the runner up of the season. Salman sang songs for films Satellite Shankar and Dabangg 3

Sunny Hindustani -Indian Idol 11

To earn, he would polish shoes at Bathinda junction after he lost his father at an early age However, Indian Idol changed his life for the better. During the show, he received a few offers from other music composers to playback for them in their upcoming films

Pawandeep Rajan- Indian Idol 12

He won the winning amount of Rs 25 lakh. The 12th season started on 28 November 2020 on Sony TV. The grand finale aired from 12 noon to 12 midnight on 15 August 2021.This was the longest-running season of Indian Idol

Rishi Singh- Indian Idol 13 

Beating Debosmiita Roy, Singh lifted the trophy and won Rs 25 lakh

Vaibhav Gupta- Indian Idol 14 

He won Rs 25 lakh and a car along with the trophy. The other finalists in the finale were Anjana Padmanabhan, Ananya Pal, Piyush Panwar, Subhadeep Das, and Adya Mishra. Shubhadeep Das Chowdhury and Piyush Panwar were declared as the first and second runners-up respectively and were awarded Rs 5 lakhs each.
