Mouli Ganguly who essays the role of Mahasati Anusuya in 'Baal Shiv,' tells mid-day.com, all about her Holi plans this year, traditions back home in Bengal and more.

Best memories of Holi?
Festivities are special when celebrated with friends and family. The innocence of celebrating the festival as a kid can never really be forgotten, so all my memories of playing Holi during my childhood are the best memories.

Are any Holi traditions specific to your region or culture?
In Bengali tradition, we celebrate Dol Jatra or Dol Purnima, like Holi. This festival spans two days, while the entire country celebrates it in just one day. As part of the Dol tradition, the elderly who plan to visit Shantiniketan for Basant utsav should apply abir (gulal) to their feet.

The food you enjoy on Holi…
Holi is my favourite time of the year because delicacies like Mishti Pulao and Gujiya are prepared on that day. This year also, I am planning to make some at home for my loved ones.

How are you celebrating this year?
This year I will be celebrating Holi at home with my family and may also go to meet a few of my friends at a lunch party.
