Pakistani drama 'Mere Paas Tum Ho' is all set to air in India on Zindagi's DTH Services. Lead actor Humayun Saeed got into conversation with mid-day.com, where he discussed the show, cultural exchange, his favourite Indian content and more!
Which would you pick as you most memorable scenes from Mere Paas Tum Ho?
Every minute spent on the sets of âMere Paas Tum Ho' is memorable for me right from day one till the last episode. The show holds a very special place in my heart and will always be my prized memory. Being around Ayeza (Khan) and Adnan (Siddiqui) makes me feel complete and gives me a sense of family.

What according to you makes Pakistani dramas popular in India and other countries, what is the connecting point for the audience?
I think the simplicity of the character is the connecting point for audiences to Pakistani content. Like in Indian OTT series, characters are subtly unveiled with less dramatization, our dramas are much similar to that. If you note the use of songs is quite less in 'Mere Paas Tum Ho' which leads to the feeling of simplicity.
What are your thoughts about cultural exchange-Pakistani artists working in India and vice versa...
I feel it's extremely important for both the countries to open their boundaries and allow art to flow freely. However, Zindagi has been doing a fantastic job of bridging the gap by providing cross-border content for the Indian audience to enjoy our work.
Any Indian shows or movies that you have watched recently?
There are multiple names that I would like to mention but my favourites remain shows and movies like 'Jubilee,' 'Mirzapur,' 'Sacred Games,' 'Delhi Crime,' 'Panchayat,' 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' etc. These shows and films have amazing actors who have performed phenomenally well.
