Ahead of the release of the movie 'Lal Salaam', fans of superstar Rajinikanth put up banners, posters, and garlands outside the Rohini Theatre in Chennai. The visuals reflect the craze of the fans to watch the superstar in the film. Rajinikanth has played an extended cameo in Aishwarya Rajinikanth's directorial venture, Lal Salaam. However, the length of his role has not limited fans from celebrating the film like every other film release of his.
Social media is buzzing with fans sharing their First Day First Show (FDFS) experience of watching 'Lal Salaam'. Fans of the superstar were seen doing 'paal abhishekam' (pouring of milk) on larger-than-life poster of Rajinikanth as Moideen Bhai. They also broke coconuts in front of the poster. Rajinikanth has God-like status in the hearts of his fans.

At the audio launch of the film last month, Aishwarya also revealed that it was initially difficult to mount this project as many producers didn't come forward to bankroll it. She also revealed that she did not consider asking her father to be a part of the project.
She said, "When my father heard the script, he asked me if he could do Moideen Bhai's role. I was hesitant initially. I thought, me being his daughter, I still had no right to tarnish his legacy. I never thought about him for the role until he himself suggested
'Lal Salaam' is a sports drama in which superstar Rajinikanth plays the role of Moideen Bhai. The film which has music by AR Rahman also stars Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth, Nirosha Radha and Senthil among others. The movie 'Lal Salaam' is scheduled for a theatrical release on 9 February 2024.
Rajinikanth was recently seen in 'Jailer,' which was a worldwide box-office hit. He plays a man seeking to avenge the death of his cop son. Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Jackie Shroff were in important cameos.
