After a 20-year gap, veteran actor Rakhee Gulzar returns to the Bengali cinema business in Shiboprosad Mukherjee's 'Amar Boss.' The shooting began in Sector Five, Kolkata, and sequences were shot across the city.

Victoria Memorial in Kolkata has been packed and active since its scheduled opening on January 17, while Rakhee was shooting there. The film's production has been completed, leaving Rakhee's admirers eager to see her on the big screen for the first time in years.

Everyone was moved to tears as Rakhee finished shooting. The end of this cinematic adventure was met with profound feelings as the actors and crew said goodbye to a project that had become a shared passion.

A particularly touching moment unfolded as director Shiboprosad Mukherjee expressed his gratitude and admiration by kissing Rakhee's hand, symbolizing the deep respect and camaraderie that had developed during the filming process.

In their joint statement, directors Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee expressed the profound impact of Rakhee Gulzar's involvement in 'Aamar Boss,' stating, "Rakhee di's unwavering dedication and timeless grace have been the driving force behind 'Aamar Boss.' As we bid adieu to this transformative journey, we're not just concluding a film; we're leaving behind an emotionally charged collaboration."

Rakhee Gulzar, reflecting on the wrap-up, shared, "I had seen their films and liked those. So when they approached me with this script, I found it to be fresh. There are fresh faces, the script is fresh. I really enjoyed working with this team. They gave me the inspiration to begin something new."

Renowned for illuminating the silver screen for decades, Rakhee Gulzar is making a comeback in Bengali films after a hiatus of two decades. Her last theatrical release in Bengal was Rituparno Ghosh's 'Shubho Mahurat' (2003). She was also seen in Gautam Halder's 'Nirban', which did rounds of several film festivals in 2019. It has now been almost two decades since fans have seen Rakhee on the big screen in a Bengali film.
