BTS member J-hope, who fulfilled his mandatory military service travelled to Los Angeles for a fun trip.

J-hope is the second BTS member after Jin to complete his military service this year.

During his stay in LA, J-hope took part in the Halloween celebrations.

He also shared his picture with the text "Trick or Treat" while holding a bowl full of candies.

The K-pop idol also visited local restaurants and explored the nightlife.

J-hope enjoyed some tomahawk steak with a charred crust. It was served with a charred lemon, a sprig of rosemary for garnish, and two sauces — possibly horseradish or aioli, and au jus or a steak sauce.

J-hope also visited what appears to be a perfumery or an aromatherapy spot in LA.

The BTS member made sure he took some stunning pictures for his travel diaries.

J-hope also made good use of the graffiti for his photo album on Instagram.

He visited some artsy places around LA to explore installations.

J-hope was discharged from his mandatory military service on Thursday, after completing an 18-month commitment.

His return has ignited excitement among fans and industry insiders, who anticipate a possible reunion of the band shortly.

The decision by BTS to enlist in the military helped avert a sticky situation for South Korea's government.

Military service is compulsory for all able-bodied males under 30 years old. The current system allows for some exceptions on the grounds of exceptional service to the country.

Some top athletes and classical musicians have been excused on this basis, but pop artists have not.
