Vikrant Massey’s upcoming film `The Sabarmati Report` tackles the sensitive and pivotal 2002 Godhra train burning and its aftermath. At the trailer launch in Mumbai, Massey highlighted the film’s importance, especially for younger generations unaware of the event, and credited producer Ektaa Kapoor for her unwavering support. This marks their eighth collaboration, a journey that’s taken Massey from TV to the big screen. Producer Ektaa Kapoor, known for her bold choices, emphasised that the film isn’t about box office success but about confronting India’s history and heritage. She explained that the film serves as a social commentary on how India often distances itself from confronting its own history and heritage. Kapoor further added that this film wasn’t made for commercial success but to ignite conversations about India’s past. `The Sabarmati Report` releases on November 15th.
