The easiest way to be an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community is by learning more about them and supporting them in every way possible. Since June is celebrated as Pride Month, here are some movies of recent times which were praised for showcasing the realities of the community. Films have always been used as a medium to narrate real-life stories, real-life struggles and real issues of the society. One such attempt has been to raise awareness about the LGBTQIA+ community. Long underrepresented in mainstream cinema, in recent times, we have seen more films and shows on OTT around characters portraying the realities of the community.
