National Award-winning film Pinjar revolves around 'Puro' (Urmila), preparing to wed a man of her parents' choice when she becomes the innocent victim of an unresolved feud between families and is abducted and held captive by a young Muslim man- Rashid (Manoj Bajpayee) who is an enemy of her father.

National Award-winning film Pinjar revolves around 'Puro' (Urmila), preparing to wed a man of her parents' choice when she becomes the innocent victim of an unresolved feud between families and is abducted and held captive by a young Muslim man- Rashid (Manoj Bajpayee) who is an enemy of her father.

Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya is a romantic thriller that also stars Fardeen Khan and Sonali Kulkarni. It is a remake of the American film Fatal Attraction in which Urmila plays an obsessive lover. 

Jungle is a survival thriller by Ram Gopal Varma which also stars Fardeen Khan and Suniel Shetty. The film revolves around a group of bandits that hold tourists hostage.

In Khoobsurat, Urmila plays the role of a beautiful girl who lacks self-esteem and confidence. 

Mast is a romantic musical in which Urmila plays a movie star. It is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. 

In Jaanam Samjha Karo, Urmila plays a club dancer who gets caught in a mess after a rich guy played by Salman Khan enters her life. 

Kaun, another Ram Gopal Varma film is a psychological horror where Urmila played the role of a serial killer.

Satya, also directed by RGV stars Urmila with Manoj Bajpayee. The film follows Satya, an immigrant who comes to Mumbai looking for a job, befriends Bhiku Mhatre, and is drawn into the Mumbai underworld.

Judaai revolves around Kajal (Sridevi) who, lured by wealth, asks her husband, Raj (Anil) to marry his rich boss' daughter Janhvi (Urmila). Little does she know about the troubles that unravel because of this decision. 

Romantic comedy Rangeela starred Urmila alongside Aamir Khan. "Chal mere sang sang. lele duniya ke rang .ho ja rangeela re," are lyrics from the film's titular track which is popular even today.

The song "Lakdi Ki Kathi" was from Masoom which featured Urmila as a child artist. Directed by Shekhar Kapur, the drama film is an adaptation of the 1980 Erich Segal novel Man, Woman and Child.
