Sarika: Kamal Haasan's second wife, actress Sarika, gave birth to daughter Shruti Haasan before their nuptials. Shruti was born in 1986, after which they tied the knot two years later in 1988. Daughter Akshara Haasan was born after that. Kamal divorced Sarika in 2004 after which she went on to live with both her daughters.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi: The Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa actress married actor-filmmaker Shekhar Kapur in 1999. The actress-singer-writer-painter divorced in 2007 and then raised their daughter Kaveri Kapur all by herself. Kaveri is already making a name for herself in the music industry.

She gave birth to twin sons a year after her marriage. Urvashi and her husband divorced when her sons were six months old and she has been raising them all by herself ever since.

Kamya Panjabi: Television actress Kamya Panjabi divorced her husband Bunty Negi in 2013, a month before entering the controversial reality show Bigg Boss. Kamya and Bunty have a daughter named Aara, who is 11. Kamya is now married to Shalabh Dang, who also has a son from his previous marriage.

Raveena Tandon: Though currently married to Anil Thadani, in 1995, she adopted two girls at age 19, named Pooja and Chhaya, who were 11 and 8 years old respectively. Now she has turned grandmother to older daughter Pooja's children. After tying the knot with film distributor Anil Thadani in 2004, Raveena became a mother to a daughter Rasha and son Ranbir Vardhan.
