Navin Shetty, who has been the costume designer for the Singham series since it started, had a new challenge with Singham Again since it brought together three iconic cops: Ajay Devgn's Bajirao Singham, Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi, and Ranveer Singh's Simmba. His task was to give each of them a unique look. Let's take a look at how he achieved this:

For Ajay Devgn's character in Singham Again, the directive was to refresh his civilian appearance while ensuring that his signature tough and strong persona remained intact.
To achieve this, the costume design focused on a more casual yet authoritative look. Solid colors, which convey strength and simplicity, were chosen to give his character a bold and no-nonsense presence.
Ranveer Singh, known for his bold and flamboyant fashion choices in real life, took on a much more restrained and understated look for his character in Simmba.
This shift in style was a deliberate decision made by the director, Rohit Shetty, to create a clear distinction between Ranveer’s off-screen persona and his on-screen role.
Simmba's character called for a more grounded, controlled appearance. This toned-down look helped emphasize the serious, duty-bound nature of the character.
Tiger Shroff made his entry into the cop universe with a look that focused heavily on showcasing his well-known muscular physique.
The costume was crafted to highlight his athletic build, reinforcing the tough and action-packed image his character needed to portray. The wardrobe choices, such as form-fitting outfits and rugged gear, were selected to accentuate his strength and agility,
For Arjun Kapoor’s role as the villain in Singham Again, the goal was to create a character that embodied pure evil, both in personality and appearance. To achieve this, the costume and styling team went beyond the usual methods, experimenting with every aspect of his look—hair, makeup, and wardrobe—to craft a menacing and unforgettable antagonist.
The use of black as the primary colour was crucial in portraying his dark, dangerous, and untamed nature. Black, often associated with power, mystery, and evil, was used not just in his clothes but in his entire look to symbolize his sinister intentions and ruthless demeanour.
Jackie Shroff's portrayal of Omar Hafeez in Singham Again was reflected in his rugged, worn-out appearance. His wardrobe and styling were carefully chosen to communicate the complexity of his role—a character who operates in the shadows.
The Singham Again costume designer thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Akshay Kumar, as the actor's impressive fitness provided a lot of flexibility when it came to experimenting with various styles and cuts. Akshay's athletic build allowed for bolder fashion choices, making it possible to push creative boundaries.
One example of this is his iconic all-black outfit, which he wears during a dramatic scene where he jumps out of a helicopter. The sleek, yet rugged look of the outfit not only emphasizes Akshay's physique but also enhances his on-screen presence.
