Milind Soman Birthday: Stunning pictures of the fitness enthusiast from his modelling days

Actor-model Milind Soman kickstarted his journey in showbiz as the male eye candy. His sculpted physique and chiselled jawline continue to leave people drooling even today. On his birthday, November 4, we take a look at some of his stunning throwback pictures

Milind Soman, who is fondly called the Iron Man of India, celebrates his birthday on November 4. On this occasion, we bring you unseen pictures of Milind from his modelling days.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Milind Soman and his family later shifted to a place near London, England, during his childhood. But in 1972, Milind Soman moved to India and settled in Mumbai.

 

 

Milind Soman's father Prabhakar Soman was a nuclear scientist with the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. And his mother Usha is a biochemist. The actor's mother also taught in a lot of colleges.

 

 

 

Milind Soman studied at Dr Antonio Da Silva High School and Jr College of Commerce in Mumbai. The model-turned-actor also got a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from M. H. Saboo Siddik Polytechnic in Byculla.

Later, he followed his calling and made his career in the world of showbiz. The actor kickstarted his modelling career in 1988.

Milind Soman featured in Alisha Chinai's music video 'Made in India' in 1995. 

After working as a model for a couple of years, Milind Soman took up acting. 

The actor has played the lead role in the Indian science fiction TV series 'Captain Vyom.' He later decided to shift his focus to films in 2000.

Milind Soman has acted in films like '16 December', 'Agni Varsha' and 'Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula.' 

In 2007, Milind Soman worked in films like 'Bhram', 'Say Salaam India' and 'Bheja Fry.' In 2009, Milind Soman also acted in a Marathi film 'Gandha.'

Milind Soman has also worked in some English and foreign language films and TV series, including 'Valley of Flowers' and 'The Flag.' 

Milind Soman portrayed Saladin, the revered 12th-century Kurdish leader of the Arabs and Muslims, in the Swedish film 'Arn - The Knight Templar.' 

Milind Soman was also seen on the big screen in 'Bajirao Mastani' (2015) and Chef (2017).

On May 20, 2012, Milind Soman became a Limca Record holder for running 1,500 km in 30 days for Greenathon to spread environmental awareness. It was the same year when Milind Soman set up India's largest 'women's only' running event Pinkathon to promote good health and breast cancer awareness.

In 2015, Milind Soman completed the Ironman challenge in 15 hours and 19 minutes in his first try. The triathlon included a 3.8-km swim, a 180.2-km cycle ride and 42.2-km run race without a break. We wish Milind Soman a very happy birthday!
