'The Buckingham Murders' starring Kareena Kapoor in the lead has been released in theatres today. The film marks Kareena's maiden collaboration with filmmaker Hansal Mehta
The film also marks Kareena Kapoor's debut as a producer
On the release day of the film, Kareena and Hansal took to their respective Instagram feed to share some BTS pictures which reflect on the making of the film
Sharing the BTS pictures, Kapoor said that she is proud to be a part of the film
"As an actor, it’s the choices one makes…And I am very proud of this choice. Please watch this story and dive into my world of crime and drama… a dream I have always had to act in or produce one... but here I got the best of both worlds," Kareena captioned the post

'The Buckingham Murders' is a crime thriller film in which Kareena portrays a grieving British-Indian detective assigned to investigate the case of a murdered child in Buckinghamshire
Earlier in an interview with Variety, Kareena had revealed that her character in the film is inspired by Kate Winslet's role in 'Mare of Easttown'
The film's ensemble also includes Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, Ram Kapoor and Keith Allen
"I love 'Mare of Easttown' and when Hansal came to me, I said this is something that I've really been dying to do. So we've moulded a little bit on those lines, she plays a detective cop in that," she said.
