Athiya and KL Rahul had an intimate wedding ceremony with just 70 guests at the venue. They got married at a farmhouse in Khandala, away from the hustle bustle of the city
The decor of the wedding was done by Anika Dhawan of Rani Pink Gifts. With flowers played the lead role in decor, the venue was well lit with natural light and set the mood for a festive occasion. "When I met Athiya, I knew instinctively that this wedding was going to be special. Our aesthetics matched perfectly, there was balance, honesty and trust. We knew how to feed off eachother to create and build. Every layer of the decor was detailed and I cant tell you how much FUN we had. The storyline for each day was different yet the foundation of our design stayed intact," Anika revealed on Instagram
"The haldi was a blooming marigold garden with layers from floor to ceiling. We detailed every tiny corner. It was intimate and beautiful. The sun was shining, marigolds were dancing and there were two families celebrating love," Anika shared
For the muhuratham ceremony, the couple opted for pastel coloured decorations, a stark contrast from the haldi decor
"This venue was special. Beautiful old trees layered in jasmine strings, beds of mogra and the most gorgeous linen in old world brocades hand dyed in our soft mint palette," Anika shared about the decor
For the wedding, Athiya looked resplendent in an old-rose pink lehenga and her groom cricketer KL Rahul complemented her look in an ivory sherwani, as the star couple tied the knot at Suniel Shetty's bungalow in Khandala
