Elli portrays Mrs. Sylvia Nanavati in the web-series, while Manav Kaul plays Kawas Manekshaw Nanavati and Viraf Phiroz Patel plays Prem Bhagwandas Ahuja.

Angad Bedi plays the part of decorated public prosecutor Karl Jamshedji Khandalavala in the web-series The Verdict: State Vs Nanavati. The actor went the extra mile by sitting in on cases in the courtroom to understand the nuances of his role.

In 1949, he returned from England with a passion for western music and his English bride, Sylvia Nanavati. They settled in Mumbai and had a family with 3 children of theirs. In 1959, he returned home from the high seas to discover his wife’s betrayal. What he did after that, set a maelstrom rolling, in which the most powerful political figures, the topmost media, naval top-brass, and the brightest legal brains got involved. Then began a war of opinions, morals, and communities triggering off a case that divided India!

Sumeet Vyas also attended the screening. Essaying the role of Ram Jethmalani in Alt Balaji's web show, The Verdict: State Vs Nanavati, Vyas left no stone unturned to play the part of the eminent lawyer. A source had earlier told mid-day, "Given his [Jethmalani] poor health, he wasn't available to guide Sumeet through the part. This will be the first time that Sumeet will don the cape of a lawyer on screen." Interestingly, Sumeet belongs to a family of lawyers and judges.

Saurabh Shukla plays Rustom Kurshedji Karanjia in The Verdict: State Vs Nanavati.

Even after six decades the infamous story of K.M. Nanavati Vs. The state of Maharashtra is still one of the most sensational criminal cases in India and marks a landmark judgement in the history of India.
